Paverpol Workshops at Churchill
About me
Workshops are available in Churchill, at Faeries with Attitude, in our well equiped, air-conditioned studio. Enjoy the pleasant garden surroundings while you complete your sculpture.
Workshops available include: Sitting lady or Fisherman, Masai, Bedouin, Geisha, Elegant lady, Mermaid,Splatt, Splash or Oriental figure. Sculptures can be made in a variety of fabric colors and patterns. I also have a large range of pavers, natural timber, treated pine and rocks available for the base of your sculpture. All materials supplied, just bring your creativity!!
I am experienced in many different crafts, including embroidery, patchwork, felting, quilting, lead-lighting, sewing, scrap booking, decoupage and cloth doll making. After attending a polymer clay doll making workshop several years ago, I became hooked on working in this medium.
After initially just making faeries, my work has included pirates, elves, Elizabethan ladies, Santa and many more. I have exhibited at Warragul Rotary Art Show, Leongaatha Rotary Art Show, Korumburra Art Show, Meeniyan Art and Craft Show and Tyers Art show, receiving a “Highly Commended” award in 2007 and 2008 at Tyers and a prize at Meeniyan on 2009. I am interested in the mythical and mystical aspects that can be portrayed in both the polymer clay creations and the Paverpol sculptures.
Wanting to extend my knowledge of working in other media, I completed the Paverpol Accredited Workshop Instructor training course to be able to demonstrate the amazing results of working with this product. I take great satisfaction in seeing the wonderful sculptures completed by my students in the workshops.
I am also now qualified to teach the Paverpol Accredited Workshop Instructor Course, for those wanting to take their passion for Paverpol to the next level by becoming Instructors themselves. I also have Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training.
After many years in the disability and community services sector, I have decided it was time for a change and am pursuing my passion for art and craft!! (and blowing bubbles on the beach).
